This policy explains what information John Poe Digital Marketing collects, how it's used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information collected

Information you provide:

  • Name, email address, and phone number when you submit a contact or lead form on this site
  • Name, email address, and phone number when booking a call via Cal.com
  • Business name and website when provided on a form, during booking, or on a call
  • Payment information processed through Stripe (John does not store card numbers — Stripe handles all payment data)

Information collected automatically:

  • Website usage data via Google Analytics (pages visited, time on page, general location, device type)
  • Ad interaction and conversion data via Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Pixel (including if you arrive from an ad)
  • Advertising identifiers and session data via cookies (for example Google, Meta, and TikTok tracking cookies)

2. How your information is used

  • To contact you before and after a booked call (phone, SMS, email)
  • To respond to form submissions and follow up on inquiries
  • To send pre-call content and reminders
  • To measure whether ads are converting (conversion events)
  • To improve the website and ad targeting
  • To communicate about services, invoices, and project updates

Your phone number may be used to send you SMS reminders before your booked call. You can opt out by replying STOP to any text.

3. Third parties we share data with

Cal.com — booking platform. Stores your name, email, phone number, and booking details. Cal.com's privacy policy applies to data held on their platform.

Stripe — payment processing. Handles all credit card and payment data. Stripe's privacy policy applies.

Google — Analytics and Ads. Receives website usage data and conversion events. Google may use this data to improve ad targeting on Google's network.

Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — The Meta Pixel may record your visit, page views, and conversion actions (such as form submissions or purchases). Meta's data policy applies.

TikTok — The TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API may record your visit, page views, and conversion actions (such as form submissions, checkout starts, and purchases). When you submit a lead form, we may send a hashed version of your email and phone number to TikTok to help match conversions to ad clicks. TikTok may use this data for ad measurement, optimization, and audience building. See TikTok's Business Products Privacy Policy. Where required by law, John Poe Digital Marketing and TikTok may act as joint controllers for data collected through TikTok advertising tools on this site.

Twilio — Used to send SMS reminders. Your phone number is passed to Twilio to deliver messages. Twilio's privacy policy applies.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Cookies

This site uses:

  • Essential cookies (site functionality)
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics — can be blocked with browser settings or ad blockers)
  • Ad tracking cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel — including identifiers such as _ttp and click IDs such as ttclid when you arrive from a TikTok ad)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics and ad cookies will not affect your ability to use the site, though ad platforms may not be able to attribute conversions as accurately.

5. Data retention

Contact information (name, email, phone) is retained for as long as you are a client or prospect. If you ask to be removed, we will delete your information within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You may request at any time:

  • A copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations)

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Under California law, sharing website activity and contact information with advertising platforms (such as TikTok, Meta, and Google) for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered sharing. You may opt out of that sharing by emailing john@johnpoe.xyz with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." We will honor your request within 45 days.

EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (running a business) and contract performance.

7. Security

Reasonable technical measures are in place to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, you will be notified within 72 hours.
